When you receive a citation from a Deputy with the Niobrara County Sheriff’s Office, you have the following options:
Option 1 — Mandatory Court Appearance
If the box marked “MA” is checked on your citation, you must appear in court.
You are ordered to appear at the:
Circuit Court of the 8th Judicial District in Lusk, Wyoming, on the court date listed on your citation.
If you do not appear in court on that date:
- The court may issue a warrant for your arrest for Failure to Appear.
- You may also face additional criminal charges besides the original citation.
Important:
- Do not lose your pink copy of the citation.
- Bring all copies of your citation with you to court.
- You will need your citation number if you contact the court before your court date.
Option 2 — Court Appearance Not Required
If the “MA” box is not checked, you do not have to appear in court, but you must act before the court date listed on the citation.
You have two choices:
Choice 1 — Contest the Citation
Contact the court and tell them you want to contest the citation and appear before a judge.
Choice 2 — Pay the Fine
You may pay your citation online using only this official website:
